Lake Zurich is a village in McHenry County, Illinois ,a northwest suburb of Chicago with a population of around 19,970 residents.
The village is named after a body of water named “Lake Zurich”, which is completely located inside the village.

A small section of east Lake Zurich is served by Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 and Consolidated High School District 125.

- Copper Fiddle Distillery –
This distillery is a great visit for anyone with a fascination for how spirits are made.
The Copper Fiddle Distillery was started by two men (an architect and a PGA pro) who created their own unique bourbon whiskey from scratch.
They also have gin and other homemade spirits all distilled in a handmade copper pot.
They have hour-long tours that allow you to see the process of how they make their delicious drinks.

The Cuba Marsh Forest is a great place for even the occasional outdoorsman.

- Deer Grove Forest Preserve –
Deer Grove’s features wooded ravines and wetlands, with picturesque creeks and majestic oaks and hickory trees interspersed within the landscape.
This is a popular destination for cyclists and equestrians due to its winding, hilly trails. However, this is also a hot spot for anglers who can enjoy catching bass, bullhead, bluegill, and sunfish.
The best time to visit the park is throughout the spring due to the more abundant wildlife that can be found.
